Morning Routine
My day as an HVAC technician at Highlands Quality Climate Control starts early. I wake up at 6 AM, grab a quick breakfast, and head to our office in Derry, PA. After checking in, I review my schedule for the day, which typically includes a mix of installations, repairs, and routine maintenance calls.
First Call: AC Installation in Johnstown
Today’s first appointment is an air conditioner installation for a new client in Johnstown. I load up the company van with all the necessary equipment and parts, then hit the road. Upon arrival, I meet with the homeowner to discuss the installation process and answer any questions they might have about their new system.
Midday: Emergency Repair in Latrobe
After completing the installation, I receive an urgent call from dispatch about an AC repair needed in Latrobe. A family’s air conditioner has stopped working during a heatwave, so I quickly head over to assess the situation. After diagnosing the problem, I explain the necessary repairs to the homeowner and get to work fixing their unit.
Afternoon: Routine Maintenance in Ligonier
My next stop is a routine maintenance check for a long-time client in Ligonier. These regular service calls are crucial for:
- Ensuring optimal system performance
- Identifying potential issues before they become major problems
- Extending the lifespan of HVAC equipment
- Improving energy efficiency
Evening: Wrapping Up in Loyalhanna
As the day winds down, I make one last stop in Loyalhanna for a quick AC tune-up. After completing the service, I head back to the office in New Derry to file my paperwork and prepare for tomorrow’s assignments.
Working for Highlands Quality Climate Control allows me to serve communities across western Pennsylvania, from Derry to Johnstown and beyond. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our clients stay comfortable in their homes and businesses, no matter the weather outside.
